BRANT MILLER: Music
"EVERY LIFE IS SACRED"
(BRANT MILLER)

For millennia the course of human history has been a path of war and violence. Never do these choices resolve underlying causes. Rather, they perpetuate future problems by planting new seeds of resentment, divisiveness, hatred and revenge. For resolutions of human problems on any level to be complete, they must be dealt with on a fundamental, causal level. The Buddhist view is that all human life has equal value and underlying dignity. With that as the starting and ending point of all approaches to solving problems, seeds of unity will eventually replace the persistent seeds of division. This song is about putting aside one's inner devils of divisiveness to embrace a greater, more noble path of creating unity and peace in this world with not just people of the same color or nationality, but ALL HUMAN BEINGS.
Every life is sacred
Worthy of respect
Nothin more important for
Me to recollect
Not one soul's forgotten no when I Kneel to pray
So when you ask me
That's what I say
Lost my understanding
I lost my memory
Hungry, greedy, turned my back on Humanity
But now there's not one soul forgotten no
When I kneel to pray
So when you ask me
That's what I say
My mentor came to awaken me
And her mercy shook me
Down to my knees
To my knees
It's time to remember
The true self
Before it's too late
Every life is sacred
Worthy of respect
Nothin more important for
Me to recollect
Not one soul's forgotten now
When I kneel to pray
So when you ask me
That's what I say
